Federal
Break Free From Plastic Pollution Act 2021 (Merkley / Lowenthal) S. 984 /  H.R. 5845
Key elements: makes producers fiscally responsible for post-consumer management of waste, limits exportation of waste to other countries, temporary moratorium on facilities that manufacture plastic, phases out certain single use products, etc.

Green New Deal (Markey / Ocasio-Cortez) S. 166 / H.R. 332
Key elements: reduce greenhouse gases, create new jobs in the green economy, build smart power grids, etc.
