John Bullard was the Mayor of New Bedford from 1986-1992.  He headed the first federal Office of Sustainable Development for the Clinton-Gore Administration. He later served as Regional Administrator for NOAA Fisheries.

Beekeeper and gardener Daniel Lefebvre has always looked for ways to be kinder to the environment in which we live. He got involved in Climate Reality because he wanted to learn more about his daily impact and learned it’s going to take a lot more than just one person to make the difference our planet needs.

Elizabeth Murphy is a community organizer supporting immigrant communities in New Bedford. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity degree with a focus on social justice and community ministry. Elizabeth lives in Dartmouth with her husband and two children (both Climate Reality Leaders!). She was trained as a Climate Reality Leader at the 2020 virtual training.

Natalie Murphy is in the eighth grade at Dartmouth Middle School. She loves spending time outdoors and playing sports. Natalie joined the Climate Reality MA Southcoast Chapter to learn about ways to fight climate change in our community. She was trained as a Climate Reality Leader at the 2020 virtual training.

Laura Gardner, a National Board Certified Teacher in Library Media, is a Teacher Librarian in Dartmouth, MA and chair of Climate Reality Massachusetts Southcoast. Laura was trained in 2019 in Minneapolis and is a mother of two.

Bruce Douglas has degrees in the natural sciences and has worked for 10 years for government and 25 years in the private sector. Bruce is a professional engineer focusing on distributed management of water resources, water infrastructure and water recycling.

Connor Murphy is a student at Dartmouth High School. He spends most of his free time climbing rocks, practicing guitar, learning carpentry, streaming movies, or volunteering for political campaigns. Connor was trained as a Climate Reality Leader at the 2020 virtual training.

Mary Lou earned a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Bridgewater State College in 1992. She has been a professional nanny since 1994. In 2011 she started the group, Be the Solution to Pollution, in order to clean up South Coast shorelines and teach the public about plastic pollution. Mary Lou was trained as a Climate Reality Leader at the 2020 Virtual Training.
